I’ve always been a Lonely Planet Guidebook fan! But the books are not cheap!

Now, there’s an alternative solution! Buy pick and match PDF guides from Lonely Planet!
Only RM7 ish per chapter!

Just awesome!

Oh no Avril!

Posted in everyday life on August 21, 2008 by scorpieme

Oh my god! I can’t believe Avril’s concert is canceled! With such lame excuse like Avril’s concert is too sexy for Malaysian!

Wtf, this is really shallow.

I can’t say I was not at all nervous about lunching with Inn. After all, it’s been a long 2 years since I put our friendship to a halt.

I arrived a tad earlier for our lunch date. In fact, 30 mins earlier. Not what I planned, I just got a bit lucky with the cab today. Not to mentioned it’s the school holiday so cabs were abundant on the road.

I am glad things worked out fine for her, and for me. She finally found Mr.Right and is getting engaged this August. Mr.Right was indeed right for her. I could felt immediately that he has a kind heart and is right for her in all possible ways. For that I am happy for her.

As for me, although no luck *yet* in the relationship department, life has been great to me in every possible ways too. I’ve discovered my passion in photography and living large with my travels. I know that I am capable of getting what I want in life. Perhaps, I am still undecisive when it comes to men. But I really rather stay single for as long as I live if I can’t find my Mr. Right. Because vows are forever and I am not gonna settle for anything less than what I deserve :p

At work, As much as I tried not to get irritated, there are still instances that bug the hell out of me. And for the life of me, I really sux at pretending everything is a bed of roses. Because that’s just tiring…

But, behind every dark cloud there is a sliver lining. Good news is, ‘dream company’ FINALLY emailed and offered an interview session. Can’t describe how excited I am because it’s been a while since I wanted something so badly. I’ll do whatever I can to get the offer, but if I don’t get it that’s ok too :)

Because this is life and I’ll embrace it no matter what.

Butterfly magic 2

I am not a fan of blurry photos but this one somehow grew on me!

some thoughts

Posted in everyday life on August 17, 2008 by scorpieme

In moment of despair, we all want to believe that everything happened for a reason to serve us. But how many of us really embrace that? Do we believe it because it makes us feel better? Or do we truly understand the underlaying fact which in return give us the courage to brave each step with faith, and live life without the burden of yesterday?

Hadyai’s off but Penang’s ON

Posted in everyday life on August 17, 2008 by scorpieme

The Hadyai trip is off. Instead, Celeste and I are heading to Batu Feringgi! :D We’ll be traveling via Aeroline Coach instead of flying Air Asia. Departing on 30 August (8.30am) and will be back on 1 Sept. That will give me one day to prepare for mom and dad’s arrival on 2 Sept before we fly to Hanoi on 3 Sept!

As our flight is at 6.30am on 3 Sept, we’ll be checking into YMCA Brickfields for one night and take the Air Asia shuttle to LCCT at 4am. I don’t know why but I am so looking forward to be staying at YMCA haha! I’m even planning to take mom and dad to the blind massage centre that I frequent in Brickfields :p

While I was checking out YMCA’s website for the room rates and such, I stumbled upon the YMCA Language Centre and so many fun things I can do there! This is so destined to happened! I’m getting my YMCA membership after the Hanoi trip and sign up for Thai language class haha…

Butterfly magic

So I made it to Butterfly Park as planned – not a fan of butterflies but needed some photo for Photographer of the year submission :p

There is something very scary about butterflies…no thanks to this drama series shown on Singapore Channel during the 80s – about a girl who aged at a tremendous speed after been bitten by butterflies. Since then, I’ve been keeping my distance from butterflies.

Butterfly Park was situated at Lake Gardens, exactly next to the Bird Park. Entrance fee cost RM8 and extra RM 1 for camera, but foreign tourists are being charged RM16! I’ve always thought that tourist are being treated unfairly in other countries where we had to pay double for the entrance to tourist sites. Didn’t know that it’s happening here as well in Msia! Sigh…

Anyway, had fun shooting and chasing the butterflies :D will definitely go back for a 2nd shoot!
